first off, a warning for everyone. if you are not following these rules, the staff will take action. depending on what you are doing wrong; we will talk about suspension, bans, and character deletions. so please make sure you are following all of the rules at all times.

JOINING AND IN-CHARACTER[/center]

• when you reply to the registration thread, please make sure your character's full name is in ALL CAPS like this; CORY BRYCE JOHNSON. if it looks like this: cory bryce johnson, or Cory Bryce Johnson. it's wrong, and you'll need to change it. the staff does have lives and we don't have time for people who don't bother to read the rules.
• please double check the face claims before replying to the registration thread. we don't want to deny you because you forgot to check the thread to see if the play-by you wanted was taken. also, check the wanted ads and see if anyone is using the play-by you want for a potential plot. you aren't required to do this plot, but if you like it you should help them out. • when you are accepted, the first thing you should do is claim your play-by! we are not responsible for your claims, so if someone else comes along and claims your play-by it's your fault. we aren't your babysitters.
• just because there is no application, doesn't mean this site is illiterate. there is no word count, but i do not want to see a 100 word reply to a 700 word thread. that is just not fair. we understand that you have those days where you have absolutely no muse, but try to shoot for at least 300.
• there will only be one character for each account. it is too confusing when you have more than one on just one account. every character has it's own. you don't literally share a brain with someone else, do you? no. that would be stupid. one character per account.
• i cannot stress this enough. do not make your character a mary-sue or gary-lou! and yes, i did just make that name up. if you do not agree with us that your character is too perfect, i will make you take this test (click here) in which we will expect you to give us the results. we will know if you are lying. no one likes a perfect character! everyone has flaws! that is what makes a person who they are!
• you may only have four characters. at first, that is. if we think you can handle more, then have at it! but if you have four characters and only one is active, then no, you cannot make another one.
• when making graphics, please be reminded that the site can only support signatures that are up to 500px. anything larger will be taken off. please keep signitures at 500x400 or smaller. this site also supports 150x200 avatars, but don't make them bigger than that.
• yes it's true that you don't have to ask a doctor if you can have a eating disorder, but if we were like that every character on the site would have one. so if you have a plot in which a character becomes pregnant, dies, has an eating disorder, etc. pm one of the admins so we can discuss how we would want to handle it. we may say you can't do it, but we may say you can.
• having sex is a risk. so, if you character has sex, do not be surprised when a staff member PMs you. it doesn't mean something bad will happen, but sometimes it does. your character can end up pregnant, with a STD, or could come out just fine. it'll depend on what randomness we want to pull out.

OBVIOUS RULES

• i cannot believe i even have to say some of these. first off, stay true to your character's personality! if you say they're extremely, extremely shy, i don't want to see them chatting it up with EVERYONE in chat box. someone that shy would only speak to people they know.
• respect everyone. hasn't your mother told you to treat others the way you want to be treated? so keep the fights in-character. just because your character hates lindsay's character doesn't mean you should hate lindsay too. unless she killed your mom, then i guess you have every right to hate her.
• OBVIOUSLY you should tell us when you are going out of town, and how long you will be out of town. we may have an activity check, and we don't want to delete you if you are just on vacation. so please make sure to always give us a heads up.
• this should be in the in-character, but i think it's super obvious and should not have to be said. DO NOT GODMOD! if your character even says the slightest thing as another character hugged them, it's godmodding. it's annoying. so don't do it.
• i do not want to see miley cyrus at all as a 25 year old college senior. does miley cyrus look 25? no. how old does she look? around 16-17? yes. so don't make play-bys that are too young, too old; and make play-bys that are too old, too young.
• and obviously you should know there was a password. and the password is: i did my best!

OUT OF CHARACTER

• out of character means you are not your character. when we are talking out of character, all the fights and drama of our characters are not there. we are just people talking. so don't bring the fights from ic into ooc.
• do not fight in the chatango! it looks bad on the site, and you will get in trouble for doing it. if you are having a problem, please use private messaging. if you are being bullied, or someone will not stop bothering you, pm a staff member because they will take care of it.
• again, respect everyone. not only the staff members, but also the other members and guests as well.
• do not go in the chatango and tell the staff to accept you. we are busy, and we will get to it in a resonable amount of time, we promise. just be patient!
• this site is rated R, so if you are uncomfortable with that, this site may not be for you. but do remember that this is a real life role-play and things that happen in real life are not always rated PG.
• everyone says this, so i guess we should too... have fun! be creative with plots and don't forget to follow the rules at all times!
